A Baywood Green Golf Club in Michigan has been awarded a $40 million tax credit, which will help it continue to host the tournament, according to a statement released by the club.
The Michigan Golf Tax Credit will allow the Baywoods Green Golf Course to continue hosting the Bay Woods Invitational, the announcement said.
Baywood Golf Club president Tom Greene said the Bayland golf course has long been a leader in promoting golf in the state and has received a large number of applications from golfers seeking to participate in the event.
The tax credit is part of the Bay County Economic Development Fund, which was established in January to help develop golf courses.
Bayland Golf Course is located at 5893 East Point Road in Lake County.
